Corporate Volleyball Tournament to Benefit the Ste-Justine Hospital Foundation

Montreal, QC –  The Games for Hope Foundation is proud to announce the launch of its 2009 fundraising campaign benefiting the Ste-Justine Hospital Foundation. The 8th Annual JSS Medical Research Corporate Volleyball Tournament will take place at Vanier College Saturday, June 6th 2009 with a slew of activities for registered teams and their entire families. The goal for this year’s event is to raise $200,000 ! 100% of these net proceeds from this year’s event are earmarked to help buy specific equipment to help children admitted to & followed immediately out of the intensive care unit of The Ste-Justine Hospital Foundation.

New for 2009 is the addition of an outdoor beach volleyball tournament which complements the indoor gym tournament. Other activities include an inflatable play area for children, activities and food for the participants and for their entire family to enjoy. The tournament will be split into two day parts, morning and afternoon, to accommodate the overwhelming response in previous years from Montreal’s corporate community.

In 2008, the volleyball fundraiser event helped raise over $110,000 or helped fulfill 13 specific wishes for The Children’s Wish Foundation. The event has raised over approximately $220,000 for various children’s charities in the Montreal community throughout its seven year history.

Interested individuals can register their team(s) at www.gamesforhope.com. Registration is limited and participating teams are encouraged to raise a minimum of $1,500 per team.
